Ms. Julenne Davey, Director of Guidance at Sycamore High School, was chosen as the October Citizen of the Month by the Sycamore Rotary Club.

Davey has been in Vocational Counseling for over 30 years; prior to her time at Sycamore, she worked at Genoa-Kingston High School as a counselor, and at Sycamore Junior High School.  She also taught English in Hinckley and Erie, Ill.

Outside of her duties at the high school, Davey has worked closely with Court Appointed Special Advocates for DeKalb County; she has also been active in Kiwanis, as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, and has worked closely with the Ben Gordon Center.

Davey was honored at the Sycamore Rotary Club's meeting on October 21st, 2009; in recognition of her accomplishments, $100 has been donated to CASA on her behalf.
