Brazilian GSE Team Visits Sycamore |

The Inbound Group Study Exchange Team from Brazil finished its tour of District 6420 with a visit to the Sycamore Rotary Club on April 29th.
The team from District 4770 had spent the previous six weeks visiting Rotary Clubs and businesses around northern Illinois; their final Club visit came in Sycamore, as the Rotary Club held its meeting in a special location -- Blumen Gardens.

Orion Samuelson Speaks to Sycamore Rotary |

A packed room at the Carls Fargo in Sycamore heard from legendary agricultural broadcaster Orion Samuelson, addressing the Sycamore Rotary Club during its 2009 Rural-Urban Day on March 18th.
Over 100 Rotarians, friends and guests working in the ag field were on hand for the meeting, one of the largest turnouts in years for the Rotary Club. Samuelson appeared at the invitation of longtime acquaintance and Rotary member Larry Berke.

Scholarships up to $25,000 Available from Rotary |

Applications for Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarships, up to $25,000 each, are available from the Rotary Club of Sycamore.
Applicants should be college freshmen who plan to study abroad their junior year, or upperclassmen who want to complete a year of graduate study overseas.
This scholarship is for students whose families live in the DeKalb-Sycamore area. The deadline for applications is May 15th, 2009.
