EarlyAct Coming to North Grove Elementary
Friday, 20 August 2010 05:44

Students at North Grove Elementary School in Sycamore will have the chance to join their own version of Rotary, as the Sycamore Rotary Club sponsors the establishment of an EarlyAct Club.

EarlyAct is a service organization-style club similar to Rotary, and designed for elementary students.  All students at North Grove will automatically be considered members of EarlyAct; classes from 3rd Grade on up will have elected representatives on the EarlyAct Board, and club officers will be selected from the 5th Grade.

During its inaugural school year of 2009-10, North Grove introduced its student service and leadership-building initiative, Building Our Leadership Daily (BOLD); elements of BOLD will now be combined with EarlyAct, and used to teach students about service to their school, their community and to the world...as well as about leadership, and ethics.

The official EarlyAct Chartering Ceremony will be held during the school's annual Open House; it will be on Thursday, September 16th at 6:00 P.M.
